Artist : Shin Won Yoon

Shin Won Yoon is a New York based ceramic artist.
All pieces are hand built and fired in a gas kiln. All vases are fully sealed to avoid leakage when filled with water and can be used to hold fresh flowers. All the glazes are food safe and made in the US by a reputable source that tests all their materials. Dishes are oven and dishwasher-safe. Shin Yoon's pieces focus on textures and organic "cracking" that draws inspiration from the lava fields of Hawaii and the black sand beaches of Iceland. The pieces are "cracked" by hand tearing the clay when it is hardened to leather and requires perfect timing for success. She has been working with clay for four years and her work has been featured at the Noguchi museum amongst other places.

Due to its nature of her work, no two pieces are ever alike.
We are also taking special orders on her tableware, tea ware, vases and furniture.
